Auction Description

I am in need of product certification testing for a large hydraulically powered wrench. The wrench is used to screw or unscrew large pipes by having a hydraulic motor turn a series of gears which causes 3 teeth to bite the pipe and spin the pipe. The teeth spin the pipe via friction. This product is used on a oil drilling rig above ground, so the drill will drill down into the ground 30ft, then the power tong will screw an additional 30 ft pipe segment onto the drill pipe so they can drill another 30 ft down into the ground. This process is repeated several hundred times till the drill depth is reached.

I believe we could fall under the machinery directive (2006/42/EC) and the ATEX directive (94/9/EC) in group 2 category 2 or 3 as there is not always explosive gas. The product weighs 400 pounds
